I really like your photos! What kind of camera do you use? I'm assuming it's waterproof, since you're on your kayak. How do you mount it so that it is steady? Also, the picture below that you edited of your son is adorable. I think the effects you used are great and I like how it emphasizes his face and the fish - the parts you most want to see!
I use a GoPro Hero 3 in the waterproof case. My boat comes with a variety of mounting locations, so I just lock it into the mount, turn it on, and go. I find that this position works best when I want to take a photo of the fish, but, if I what to see more of the environment, I do an over-the-back mount or use this mount above but facing forward. I usually just put a timer on the camera so I can start it and then get back in position. I have friends that just screenshot from a video. I can switch the setting from video to photo either with a phone app or with the buttons on the camera.
